I feel no pain, there is only peace.
Then why am I so afraid to be vulnerable?
To know peace is to understand that I am safe on this journey.
Yet, to know that the door to my soul has been opened leaves me exposed and afraid.
To open up – to discuss – to expose my heart…I am frightened.
To walk through the open door will change my life’s story.
The door leads to a new direction, a new chapter, a new…what?
The destination is secondary to the knowledge and understanding that tomorrow will never be the same as today.
The door is open and calling to me.
Shall I see where it leads?
Do I trust God’s guidance, strength and promise?
Do I fully accept that tomorrow will bring a ‘new’ that I need not fear?
Yes! God is there before me.

Simple, yet profound. Beautiful. And true!
